Alison Spear is an architect and interior designer based in New York City. She is currently the director of interior design at Arquitectonica Interiors, where she aims to integrate the designs of large-scale architectural projects with interior, product, landscape, and graphic design.
On her experience at Cornell, Spear says, "Cornell gave me a solid design background which enables me to work on projects of all scopes and scales. From project analysis through to construction administration, the principles of design I learned at Cornell have been great tools for me throughout my career. Instructors including Colin Rowe, Mathias Ungers, Jerry Wells, Christian Otto, Ralph Crump, Maria Romanach, and Herman Martinez are all names that have resonated throughout my career as an architect and designer."
Prior to joining Arquitectonica Interiors, Spear was a senior designer at Ennead Architects. She has master of architecture from Columbia University.
