Abigail Greene

Abby Greene is a writer, artist, and educator from Bristol, Rhode Island. In 2022, she received her B.F.A. in writing from Pratt Institute and wrote her first novel, Near to the Seagrass, about a young liquor store employee as she observes isolation via Rhode Island’s music subcultures, remote islands, and working-class men. She now resides in Brooklyn, New York, where she draws buildings with mechanical pencil, works on her HTML / Python coding practice, and continues to write. Currently, she teaches visual art, video game development, and comic book making classes to elementary-aged children. She also is at work on Miss Cristen, a novel that follows an investigation around a bedroom robbery that causes the narrator to take on the awareness of a detective.
