Work by Recent Alumni Featured in LCD Exhibit
Young Alumni Spotlight, a semester-long exhibit displayed on eight LCD screens throughout AAP, features work by recent alumni including Andre Guimond (B.Arch. '03), J. J. Manford (B.F.A '06), Farideh Sakhaeifar (M.F.A. '11), and Cali Williams (B.S. URS '03).
Curated by Amie Cunat (M.F.A. '12), the Spotlight exhibitions change mid-semester, displaying work from a different group of alumni during the second half of the term. The exhibit is an effort of the recently formed Young Alumni Council; the council nominates each distinguished participant. Initiated by Cunat, Nathaniel Doyno (B.S. URS ’05), Peter Gerakaris (B.F.A. ’02), Pete Klassen-Landis (B.Arch. ’06), and Assistant Director of Alumni Affairs and Development Serena Savino '02, the council is a group of young alumni who have demonstrated success in their respective fields and continued enthusiasm for the university.
"The [Young Alumni] Council hopes that this exhibit will cultivate on-campus awareness about the career activities of recent AAP alumni working in architecture, art, and planning disciplines," says Cunat. "By showcasing various design, art, and community projects from recent graduates, we hope to foster a connection between these young alumni and current AAP students."
