Will Benedict lives and works in Paris. His recent exhibitions include Biennial of the Moving Image, Geneva (2020); I Will Medieval Future You 6, Art Center Sonje, Seoul (2019); I Am a Problem, MMK – Frankfurt am Main (2018); Fiction is a Terrible Enemy, Fondazione Giuliani, Rome (2017); Law and Order, Simon Lee Gallery, Hong Kong (2017); and Corruption Feeds, Bergen Kunsthall (2014), among others.
Throughout his career, Benedict has worked with a number of media, including video, painting, drawing, and printing. His videos borrow the languages of marketing, cinema, and social media platforms to explore the nuanced relationship between contemporary art, commercial production, and advertising.
At this event, Benedict will talk about his recent works, exhibitions, and collaborative projects, including the exhibition Fiction is a Terrible Enemy, held at Fondazione Giuliani, Rome, in 2017.
