Thumbnail is an open forum for the exchange of ideas, based on the model of PechaKucha. The event aims to to incite, enliven, and cross-fertilize ideas from many disciplines at Cornell through a visually-based platform designed around a single topic. Thumbnail is a biannual, student-run event put on by a small team that wants to bring those outside of architecture into the community, and create a platform for those in the field to share other interests or ideas. The informal setting allows for spontaneity from both speaker and audience, while still being informative.
Faculty and students from the Cornell community are invited each semester to present on a theme. The format is explicit: 20 slides at 20 seconds each. This semester's theme is LOOP. Come see how LOOP has manifested in the lives of this semester's speakers, ranging from the regular to irregular, and the ordinary to the extraordinary.
