Susan Christopherson wins Community and Economic Vitality Award
Professor of CRP, Susan Christopherson, is a joint winner of Cornell’s Community and Rural Development Institute (CaRDI) 2007 David J. Allee and Paul R. Eberts Community and Economic Vitality Award. This year the award is cosponsored by the New York State Legislative Commission on Rural Resources.
It is Christopherson’s research and outreach in the areas of economic and workforce development, and her advocacy of the revitalization of strategic industry clusters to increase employment, that have earned her the award.
Dr. Max J. Pfeffer, co-faculty director of CaRDI states, “The award is going to two individuals who embody the spirit of this award. Their work exemplifies research and outreach in service to the people of New York.”
