Steve DiBenedetto is a painter who lives in New York City and has been showing his work in the U.S. and Europe since the mid-1980s. Past solo shows have included the David Nolan Gallery, New York City; the Daniel Weinberg Gallery, Los Angeles; Baumgartner Gallery, New York City; the Rolf Ricke Gallery, Koln, Germany; Tony Shafrazi Gallery, New York City; the University Art Museum, State University of New York–Albany; and the Consortium in Dijon, France. A selection of group shows includes the Whitney Museum, New York City; the MoMA P.S. 1 Center for Contemporary Art, New York City; the American Academy of Arts and Letters, New York City; the Aldrich Museum, Ridgefield, Connecticut; the Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris; the Magasin-Centre National d'art Contemporaine, Grenoble, France; the Nolan Judin Gallery, Berlin; the University of Richmond Museum; and the Tang Teaching Museum at Skidmore College, Saratoga, New York. In the past he has curated shows at the David Nolan Gallery and the Baumgartner Gallery in New York City. DiBenedetto has taught at Columbia University's School of Visual Arts, Rutgers University, and the Cooper Union School of Art. He is represented by the David Nolan Gallery in New York City.
