Simon Allford: Constructing the Idea

Architecture Lecture Series

Simon Allford , who previously worked at Nicholas Grimshaw, co-founded Allford Hall Monaghan Morris (AHMM) in 1989. AHMM was invented to make architecture that is beautiful to look at and satisfying to use — an architecture that is defined by a process of imagining, describing, making, using and enjoying. AHMM has won numerous awards, for buildings and masterplans that encompass numerous public and commercial programs. Allford is currently working on the Saatchi Gallery; mixed use residential/commercial towers in London and Liverpool; a series of urban buildings for housing, offices and education; and the Olympic Masterplan for 2012.
