Sasa Zivkovic and Brian Havener: Log Knot: On Perpetual Wood Cycles and Forest Processes

Zivkovic capitalizes on the Cornell Robotic Construction Laboratory's (RCL) large robotic saw to construct an elegant, rounded sculpture of log parts recycled from Cornell's Arnot Teaching and Research Forest in an exciting display of the interfaces of design, ecology, art, and architecture. Log Knot brings together the promise of futuristic, robotic design with the prolongation of natural duration.
