Libby Rosa's (M.F.A '19) work will appear in the selectively curated annual master of fine arts issue of New American Paintings. Rosa, a second-year graduate student in art, is one of 40 painters chosen from approximately 1,000 applicants to contribute to what is framed by the periodical as "a mode of juried exhibition in print."

"I am honored to be selected for the New American Paintings M.F.A. edition and have my work included alongside talented artists," says Rosa. "This publication reaches an audience that I'm excited to share my work with as I finish school this spring."

New American Paintings has been in production for nearly 25 years and sponsors six juried competitions annually. Five competitions are regional and the sixth is dedicated specifically to master of fine arts candidates or current year graduates from institutions in the U.S. Each of the 40 selected artists receive a four-page, full-color spread in a museum-quality publication.

The forthcoming New American Paintings M.F.A. annual issue, number 141, that includes Rosa's work is expected to be published later this spring or in early summer.
