Recent art faculty news
In December, associate professor of art Elisabeth Haley Meyer participated in a group show called The Logic of Paper American Works of Paper in the He Xiangning Art Museum in China. An exhibit of professor emeritus of art Kay Walkingsticks opened at June Kelly's Gallery in New York City in early April. Also, Walkingstick was honored with a Doctorate in Humane Letters from Arcadia University in May, and the Pollock-Krasner Foundation awarded her a three-year Lee Krasner Grant for lifetime achievement. In May, Assistant Professor Maria Park received the 2011 John Hartell Award for Distinguished Teaching. The distinction was awarded to Park based on nominations from students and faculty of the Department of Art. The award is granted every four years and includes a monetary prize.
