Shohei Shigematsu, director of OMA/AMO New York, gave a lecture titled "OMA Recent Work" at AAP NYC — the Cornell University College of Architecture, Art and Planning's New York City studio.

The lecture took place on July 30, 2012, following a summer studio, taught by Shigematsu and visiting critic Christy Chang and included highlights from the studio that investigated how Roosevelt Island connects to the larger metropolitan area.

The studio was broken up into equal parts research and design, investigating specific topics such as the site, islands, urban visions, transportation and conveyance systems, New York City development, waste and material management, and mobility.
