Olivia Woo and Uroosa Ijaz: Petrichoring Slowly
Petrichor (pe-trê-kor): a pleasant smell that frequently accompanies the first rain after a long period of warm, dry weather.
Petrichoring Slowly is a collaborative work between Uroosa Ijaz (B.F.A. ’15) and Olivia Woo (B.F.A. ’15) that explores fragile ecosystems in the context of manmade urban environments. The project also explores an inverse relationship between the limitations of an artist's craft and the intuitive processes of both nature and the machine.
