FXFOWLE Lecture on Sustainability, Urbanism, and Design Lecture Series

Nina Rappaport is an architectural critic, curator, historian, and educator. For more than 16 years she has been the publications director at Yale School of Architecture, for which she edits the biannual magazine Constructs, exhibition catalogs, and the studio books series.

She directs the think tank Vertical Urban Factory which includes a traveling exhibition (New York City, Detroit, Toronto, London, and Lausanne), public programs, manufacturing analysis and design, and a book with Actar. She curated an exhibition and coedited the book Ezra Stoller: Photographer. She curated the exhibition The Swiss Section at the Van Alen Institute and authored the book Support and Resist: Structural Engineers and Design Innovation and Long Island City: Connecting the Arts. She has written numerous essays on structural design, architecture, and global industrial landscapes. She is a founding board member of Docomomo US and NY/Tri-State.
