Come for lunch and learn about effective networking strategies with Cornell alumna Carol Rattray '78.
Rattray is cofounder of Zoomdojo, a New York City-based college to career initiative. She has also been an active investor and advisor to startups in the U.S. and China. Previously, she was a managing director of The Whitney Group, an international executive search firm, and vice president in the Capital Markets Group of Bankers Trust Company. She has lived and worked in Tokyo, Hong Kong, and New York.
Rattray is also cofounder of the Rattray Kimura Foundation, a private foundation focused on education, culture, and environmental conservation. She is a trustee of Bates College, the Asian Cultural Council, and Tan Dun's Re Foundation. Rattray is a member of the Cornell University College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Advisory Council, and Cornell University Council; the Eugene Lang Entrepreneurship Center at Columbia University Graduate School of Business Advisory Board; and Global China Connection Advisory Board.
Previously, Rattray was on the board of the Friends of the Museum at Chinese University in Hong Kong. She is a sponsor of the Asia Society's participation in the Studio in a School program and was a supporter of the Tibet Heritage Funds architecture restoration work in Tibet, Ladakh, and Mongolia.
Rattray received a B.A. from Cornell University and an M.I.A. and M.B.A. from Columbia University.
Zoomdojo LLC is a startup based in New York City providing solutions to support youth employment via its global internship and job search engine and online resume creator combined with curated career programs for students on career search skills, and career pathway workshops. Providing support for students and recent graduates exploring careers in arts and culture is one of Zoomdojo's focus areas. In addition to providing online jobs and internship information in this field, Zoomdojo has organized programs on and off campus related to careers in the arts and culture, including Art Intersects Technology, Innovation in the Arts, Art Inspired by Nature, STEM+ART (STEAM), Music & Medicine, Future Cities (China Future), Architecture in China Today, Art as a Business, and private tours of KPF, Sotheby's, the Metropolitan Museum, AIA exhibit, and Tan Dun’s Studio.
