AAP Connect Professional Development Series

AAP Connect and the Department of City and Regional Planning are excited to host Professional Development Days on Thursday, January 24, and Friday, January 25, for all M.R.P. and HPP students.

This event will consist of several AAP Connect activities geared toward your respective internship and full-time job searches. Registration is now live for all four events, and full details are provided below.

Thursday, January 24

Resume reviews
9:30 a.m.–3 p.m.
AAP Connect staff will be on hand to conduct 15-minute reviews of your current resume and offer suggestions on how you can take it to the next level. If you haven't spent a whole lot of time on your resume up to this point in the year, don't worry — this is the perfect place to start!

Professional headshots
1–4 p.m. 
Bill Staffeld, AAP's college photographer, will be on hand to take professional headshots on both Thursday and Friday. A professional headshot can be a great addition to your LinkedIn profile and may also be useful for those with personal websites, blogs, etc.

Dinner and Keithley intern panel 
4:30-6 p.m. 
Join our three 2018 Keithley summer interns for a panel discussion/Q&A moderated by Jeff Chusid, CRP chair. The students will talk about their internship experiences in Cleveland, offering valuable insight and perspective to first-year students interested in pursuing these great summer intern opportunities in 2019. Open to first-year students only.

Career Search Kickoff Workshop
12:30–1:30 p.m.
Join AAP Connect for a planning- and historic preservation–themed career workshop aimed to be both informative and entertaining. Our goal is simple — to get you excited about your upcoming internship or full-time job search! We'll also provide an overview of the most valuable tools you’ll utilize as you apply, network, and interview throughout the spring semester and beyond.
