Minakshi Amundsen: Creating a Unified Campus Environment

Mina Amundsen, university planner for Cornell University since 2002, oversees physical and master planning for the Ithaca campus, as well as planning associated with specific areas, projects, landscape, transportation, and utilities issues. She also represents the university on community planning matters. She is actively engaged in campus-community initiatives on regional development and land conservation with local municipal planning directors and other agencies. Amundsen holds a dual master’s degree in city planning and architectural and urban studies from MIT. Prior to coming to Cornell, she worked as a planner with the MIT Planning Office and with Harvard University’s Planning and Real Estate Office.
