Michael Brammah: Perspectives on International Planning Consultancy

Michael Brammah founded Euronet in 1990, served as chairman of the board of management from 1994 to 1998, and remains of the board today. He was cofounder of Huszar Brammah and Associates (HBA), Urban and Regional Planning Consultants, in 1971, and is currently the firm’s principal. His personal experience has included full time management of HBA’s major projects in several Asian and African countries and specialist roles in many others. Brammah has been primarily concerned with urban projects, in both public and private sectors, specializing inter alia in management processes, urban design, urban regeneration, and management of the cultural heritage. He has directed projects and undertaken individual missions for leading international agencies, including the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and the European Commission. Brammah has also been extensively involved in training and education: he has designed project-related training programs, led study tours for foreign politicians and professionals, taught planning in the United Kingdom and urban design at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design.
