Maria Calandra (M.F.A. '06) is the artist and writer behind the blog Pencil in the Studio, which she started in 2011. In this project, she spends the day with artists in their studios while drawing their space and talking to them about their life and work. She has previously exhibited at the Andrew Edlin Gallery and the Shrine, Romeo, White Columns, and Sardine galleries in New York City; and the Geoffrey Young Gallery in Massachusetts. Calandra lives and works in Brooklyn.

Erik den Breejen's (M.F.A. '06) work is in collections throughout the world, including the Kistefos Collection in Norway. Recent solo exhibitions include Song of the Earth (2016) and There’s a Riot Goin' On (2014) at Freight and Volume in New York City. He recently completed a permanent, two-story indoor mural of Atlantic Records' founder Ahmet Ertegun, commissioned by the label as the centerpiece of their new headquarters in New York City. Den Breejen is a 2015 New York Foundation for the Arts Fellow in Painting. He lives and works in Brooklyn.

The artists will discuss their careers and recent work. Lunch will be provided.
