Lisa Rybovich Crallé: Body Talk

Lisa Rybovich Crallé is an interdisciplinary artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her installations and collaborative performance projects have been presented in the U.S. and abroad, including Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco; Detroit Institute of Arts; Syracuse University; the Berkeley Art Museum; the Manetti Shrem Museum in Davis, California; Weekend in Los Angeles; Field Projects in New York City; and the Dublin City Gallery. She is a recipient of Southern Exposure's Alternative Exposure Award, the Robert Arneson Fellowship, the Czech Arts Council Award, and the Vermont Studio Center Fellowship. She has been an artist in residence at Arteles in Finland, Bubec in Prague, Ox-Bow in Michigan, the Vermont Studio Center, and others. In addition to her studio practice, she also teaches at California College of the Arts and organizes Heavy Breathing — a monthly series of experimental, artist-led movement seminars — with Sophia Wang.
