Lebbeus Woods, Teacher and Architect, Dead at 72
Visionary architect, master teacher, and admired colleague Lebbeus Woods died in his New York City home after a long illness.
"Leb was a mentor without equal. Cornell architecture students were among those privileged to work with Leb, and to witness the depth and warmth of his humanity," says Dean Kent Kleinman. "He will be sorely missed and never forgotten."
In addition to his influence on generations of students, Woods was heralded for his speculative and dark architectural images which inspired many artists and designers.
