She has screened and exhibited her work widely in the U.S. and internationally, including: The Rotterdam Film Festival, Rotterdam, Netherlands; Deste Foundation for Contemporary Art, Athens; and Museo Nacional Centro De Arte Reina Sofia, Madrid. She recently had solo exhibitions at LA><Art in Los Angelas, Participant Inc. and Fitzroy Gallery and solo screenings at the Museum of Modern Art and The Kitchen, both in New York City. Parnes is a 2013 John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Fellow and a 2014 NYFA recipient. Recently, Video Data Bank published a box set of her work and Participant Inc. published a book of her scripts.
