Kanishka Goonewardena: Cities and Imperialism

Kanishka Goonewardena is an associate professor in the geography department and director of Center for South Asian Studies at the University of Toronto. He received his Ph.D. in city and regional planning from Cornell in 1998. His research includes work on urban design, planning theory, cultural studies, globalization, postmodernism nationalism, with previous emphasis on Los Angeles and South Asia (Sri Lanka).
