Kachine Moore, Sarah Sanders, and Jennifer Wong
In their final exhibition, Kachine Moore (B.F.A. '12), Sarah Sanders (B.F.A. '12), and Jennifer Wong (B.F.A. '12) will unveil pieces that utilize everything from ceramic tiles to glitter glue. Wong's paintings on mirror and tile are a probing re-examination of self, trying to reconcile the emotional separation felt from her grandmother because of linguistic and cultural differences, unspoken confessions, and guilt. Sanders' sound installation and digital photographs respond to the ambiguity of maturity and the desire to maintain the most delicious illusions of both child and adulthood. Moore's mixed media pieces tap into the earth energies and its many cultures metaphysical realm in order to create a dialogue that speaks in tongues through a jaundiced kitschy pop configuration.
