Joan Ockman: From Seagram to Seattle

Joan Ockman is an architectural historian, critic, editor, and curator. She taught for over two decades at the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation at Columbia University, where she also directed the Temple Hoyne Buell Center for the Study of American Architecture from 1994–08. Ockman has published numerous articles and books including Architecture Culture 1943–1968. She is currently compiling a book on the history of architecture education in North America, to appear in 2012.
