Jessica Chu and Rachel Margolis: Looking From the Gaps

work by chu and margolis

An exhibition by Jessica Chu (B.F.A. '16) and Rachel Margolis (B.F.A. '16)

Looking from the Gaps is an act of storytelling, of how personal histories form family histories and larger collective histories. It is an act of remembering and documenting and interpreting — as much about what we can access from collective histories as it is about what we cannot access. Memories are transformed into physical manifestations, but they are only as accurate as our interpretation of these memories; memories both do and do not belong to us, given to us through the art of storytelling, and passed on through the same.
