James Nisbet: Total Environments

James Nisbet is Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of History of Art and Society for the Humanities at Cornell. His publications include articles on Vladimir Tatlin and the N. E. Thing Co. He is currently at work on an expansion of his dissertation, examining art and the rise of ecology during the 1960s and 1970s. He’s also developing an intellectual history of light and ecological aesthetics from the mid-19th century to the present. He received his Ph.D. in art history from Stanford University in 2011.
