Elizabeth Corkery (M.F.A. '13) received a grant from the Ian Potter Cultural Trust to spend a month in the United Kingdom this summer. As a duel U.S./Australian citizen, Corkery was eligible to apply to the Australian-based organization, which offers grants to "assist early career artists of exceptional talent to undertake professional development, usually overseas."

Corkery is traveling to London in July and will be completing two short courses at Central Saint Martin's College and working alongside the director of the London Printworkers Trust, gaining an insight into the running of a membership-based, screen print facility. In addition, she will be visiting with other, community-minded print shops around London and Edinburgh with an eye to establishing a similar organization after graduating from Cornell next spring.
