Dragon Day is a long-held tradition about collaboration and community at Cornell University. This year, first-year architecture students set out to design a dragon around the theme "HOW TO BUILD YOUR DRAGON." Drawing inspiration from the broad histories of dragon designs, the focus is on emphasizing the significance of its wings, with a striking use of lumber and canvas materials. As the parade progresses, the canvas will be transformed with vibrant colors, culminating in a grand finale at the arts quad. The first-year students will be accompanied by AAP's student community, with an open invitation extended to the whole university to attend the parade.
Parade Route
- Leave Rand Hall entrance near the Albert C. Bean Jr. 1943 and Molly Bean Plaza at 1 p.m.
- Turns right (south) on Feeney Way (formerly East Avenue)
- Turns right (west) on Campus Road
- Turns right (north) South Central walkway through Ho Plaza
- Enters the Arts Quad between Uris and Olin Libraries
- Proceeds to the north end of the Arts Quad by Sibley Hall
