Abstract

As a Stranger presents a diverse body of work in various media that sums up the experience of studying and living in Rome for a period of one semester. Cultural clashes and infatuations, humorous adaptations, and escapism into digital reality are among the common denominators and explored themes.

Exhibitor Biographies

Isabella Chung, Julie Chun, Josephine Cosmosse, Pilar Gutierrez, Rory Haltmaier, Kate James, Kacey Kim, Caitlin Liu, Chloe Mako, Havily Nwakuche, Alex Park, Julien Roumieu-Lavigne, Sally Yu, and Amy Zhang are the group of B.F.A. juniors who participated in the Cornell in Rome program in the fall of 2023.

This exhibition is organized by Art Assistant Professor of the Practice Joanna Malinowska.
