Dragon swoops across campus
Honoring one of Cornell's oldest traditions, architecture students, faculty, and staff came together for the annual Dragon Day festivities. The dragon, designed and constructed by about 50 first-year architecture students, was paraded through campus on March 19 cheered on by hundreds of costumed students. The 2010 edition was intended to be an angry, swooping dragon that could be lowered into a dive and then lifted into a takeoff position, according to Dragon Day 2010 copresidents Erin Pellegrino (B.Arch. ’14) and Kevin Alexander (B.Arch. ’14).
