Donatella Landi: Zoo of Narratives

The work of Italian artist Donatella Landi is anchored to the exploration of sound and image. Movies, photos, sound, and multimedia installations do not confront just the "sound body" with the image, but at the same time, the human presence with the absence. The resulting universe is loaded with tension: between animal, nature, and human; between beauty and suffering; and between remembering and forgetting. Including several central motifs her works are references to art history, traditional landscapes, family destiny, species survival, integrity, and the human identity. Landi's work has been exhibited extensively in Italy and Europe, as well as at several international events.
