The Organization of Cornell Planners (OCP) is the recipient of this year’s APA Best Practices Award for a Planning Student Organization.

The scholarship award is a result of the group’s fall event titled, “Social Justice and Unincorporated Communities: A Symposium.” The daylong event, organized by OCP and sponsored by the Department of City and Regional Planning, featured keynote speakers on topics of social justice and unincorporated communities.

Kate McCarthy (M.R.P. ’10), former OCP president, accepted the award on behalf of the group at the APA conference in New Orleans in April.
