Clemens von Wedemeyer: Recent Work

Clemens von Wedemeyer is a German video artist in Berlin. Between 1996 and 1998 he studied photography and media at the Fachhochschule Bielefeld. In 1998 he transferred to the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig, where he worked with Astrid Klein. In 2005 he received the Kunstpreis der Böttcherstrasse in Bremen. In 2006, he won the German competition at Internationale Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen as well as the Karl-Schmidt-Rottluff-Stipendium. Wedemeyer's has been exhibited in solo exhibitions at the Frankfurter Kunstverein (2011), the Barbican Arts Centre, London (2009), and PS1, New York City (2006). Von Wedemeyer has participated in group exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Oslo (2010), the Deichtorhallen Hamburg (2010), the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis (2009), and dOCUMENTA (2013).
