Career Conversations with Andrea Foertsch
Andrea P. Foertsch (B.S. URS '82) is founder and principal of Disruptive Space, which develops workplace strategies for the innovation economy. Recent work has focused on shared workspace such as coworking, maker-spaces, innovation centers, hacker-spaces, and accelerators. Her research report, "Workplace Innovation Today: The Coworking Center," was published by NAIOP in December 2013; she published "Innovation in Manufacturing: Makerspaces," by MassDevelopment in April 2013. Foertsch is also principal and founder of Melrose Real Estate Strategies, an urban development, adaptive reuse, and land planning consulting practice specializing in the study and opportunistic application of emerging trends and best practices.
