Fabrizio Barozzi, born in 1976 in Rovereto, Italy, studied architecture at the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia and completed his studies at the School of Architecture of Seville and L'Ecole d'Architecture Paris La Villette. In 2004, together with Alberto Veiga, he founded Barozzi/Veiga in Barcelona. Since the beginning of his career, he has maintained a balance between his professional activity and his academic involvement. He has been a professor at the International University of Catalonia, the University of Girona, the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia, and at MIT where he is currently teaching. Barozzi/Veiga has received several prestigious distinctions, including the Mies van der Rohe Award and, recently, the RIBA Award for International Excellence.
