Call for Student Artists and Designers: Make "Free" Art with Caroline Woolard

Event promo poster

In the spirit of what the artist calls "free art" (as in free speech), Caroline Woolard is inviting Cornell University student artists and designers to create their own sculptures based on Woolard's open source files. The objects to be made are based on a series of downloadable templates created by the artist and made available in March. Finished objects will be exhibited during the April Free, Libre, Open Source Systems and Art (FLOSSA) exhibition and in the fall 2016 Cornell Council for the Arts (CCA) Biennial.

If you are interested in creating a piece to exhibit at the FLOSSA exhibition, please join us for the project orientation with CCA director and art faculty member Stephanie Owens, and the CCA curatorial assistant, Mariko Azis (B.A./B.F.A. '16), who will provide further information and facilitate the event.

If you are unable to attend but are still interested in exhibiting, please contact cca_staff@cornell.edu.
