Art 3700: Hybrid Media Studio Projects
Students in Professor Renate Ferro's art 3700: Hybrid Media and Global Art Practices class exhibit projects that are inspired by environmental and sustainable issues.
Inspired by both historical and contemporary examples, from the 1964 Earth Art Show; the 2006 Beyond Green: Toward a Sustainable Art Show at the University of Chicago; to the current Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art show Beyond Earth, students explore such issues as water conservation and current recycling practices. Students will use the Olive Tjaden Gallery as an experimental presentation site. All are invited to the class critique in the gallery on Tuesday, February 25 from 1:30 to 4 p.m.
