Amie Cunat (M.F.A. '12) discusses her paintings from recent exhibitions and residencies. Drawing from observation, Cunat translates local sites into abstract imagery comprised of globular forms and bouncy landscapes. Using wall paintings, site-specific objects, and works on canvas, her installations situate the viewer as a participant between lived and perceptive experiences.
