Cornell in Rome Fall 2018 Lecture Series

The story of Lazzaro, a farmer who is not yet 20 and is so good that he seems simple-minded; and Tancredo, young like Lazzaro but cursed by his own imagination, is the story of a friendship. A friendship born in the middle of secret plots and lies. A friendship so true and precious that it will travel unchanged throughout time and the disruptive consequences of a Great Deception, transporting Lazzaro into the city, huge and empty, in search of Tancredo.

After the screening, there will be a meeting with the film's director, Alice Rohrwacher.
