AAP Women Unite for Equality
Please join art faculty, grad students, alumni, and friends to celebrate art and women on the occasion of International Women's Day and Strike Day. All of the work in the show has been donated and the proceeds go toward The Advocacy Center of Ithaca and Planned Parenthood. Both organizations have a strong commitment to protecting gender rights, creating both emotionally and physically safe spaces, and encouraging education to combat equality issues in our world. We hope to inspire artists and members of the Cornell community to remain a solid force of stability, compassion, and administration of equality through this event.
All work is $100 or less including a gem by Professor Emeritus Eleanor Mikus from 1985 and new work created just last week by women from AAP.
Please show your solidarity. Red armbands will be given out to all who attend.
Special thanks to curator and tireless organizer Kate Huffman for her vision and hard labor for the past several months.
