AAP Art Alumni Virtual Series: Career Development in the COVID-19 Era
AAP Connect invites you to our first summer 2020 AAP Art Alumni Panel Virtual Series Event: Career Development in the COVID-19 Era.
For so many, the past several months have been incredibly challenging. Events such as the magnified impacts of COVID-19, the resulting economic recession, and a renewed attention on race relations brought on by the pain of seeing George Floyd and so many other black lives taken at the hands of systemic racism, including protests across the country have likely led many of you to re-evaluate the way that you think about everyday life, and what you might want to do with your lives after graduation.
In response, AAP Connect/Career Services and AAP NYC are partnering to present a series of department-specific panel discussions with AAP alumni. These will be informal and interactive group dialogues to discuss navigating an uncertain and complex career journey in art and ways you can still advance positive change and design a safer and more just world for all during turbulent times. The alumni will share their experiences finding jobs and how their expectations and thinking about how their own skills changed over the years.
Please join the following AAP Alums for an interactive discussion on how to "broaden your lens."
