Biography
Eleonora Danco
Director, Playwright, Performer, Actress. In 2014, she wrote and directed her first film, N-CAPABLE, produced by Rai Cinema, MIBACAT, and Bibifilm. N-CAPABLE received two special mentions at the 32nd Turin Film Festival, was named Best Film by the Italian Film Critics Union in 2015, was nominated for the David di Donatello and Nastri d’Argento awards, and won the Ciak d’Oro in 2015.
Her theatrical debut was in 1996 with Ragazze al muro, followed by Nessuno ci guarda, Ero purissima. Among her best-known shows are Me Vojo Sarvà, Sabbia, Intrattenimento Violento, Donna Numero 4, dEVERSIVO (2017), and BENVENUTE STELLE (2023). In 2022, she created the short films SubReal Urbe, Ostia Ostia Ostia, and Metro C. She has been published by Minimum Fax and Skira. She wrote and directed the radio documentary Il Vuoto for Rai3.
For over fifteen years, she has been leading workshops she designed for young actors and teenagers. As an actress, she has worked, among others, with Daniele Luchetti, Luca Scivoletto, Nanni Moretti, Ettore Scola, Marco Bellocchio, Pupi Avati, and Cristina Comencini.
