Text Areas provide a simple centered column of text on landing pages, as well as several additional options for supporting content.
About the Block
- Available in the Landing Page template only.
- No alignment options.
- Heading is optional and will hang in the left-hand margin.
- Callouts are thumbnail images or videos and/or captions — you can add one to the left or right columns, or both. Not to be confused with the Callout block.
- Optionally add a CTA button to the right column.
- Optionally add a Stats block below the main text column.
- Optionally turn on truncation for the main text column (hides text below the third paragraph).
- Callouts, CTA button, People, and Stats a flow below the main text column on mobile.
Guidance
Every landing page should begin with a Text Area or Intro block. For department landing pages, bold the first paragraph. You may also use the right-column callout to repeat the topper image with a caption.
For Lab landing pages, you can use the People repeater to list (or manually create) the lab directors.
