The Student Work Gallery block showcases student imagery in an asymmetrical grid, with large contrast in scale between items. It serves as a dedicated module for showcasing items from the Student Work content type.
About the Block
- Accepts 2 to 9 items.
- The Featured Image, student/degree, and image title are pulled automatically from each entry you select. Switch on
Override Defaultsto override any of these. - The aspect ratio of each original image is maintained.
- The size of the image is determined by its position in the gallery.
Guidance
- Student Work Galleries can (and should) be multiple scrolls — position them as the last or next-to-last block on a department landing page.
- On department landing pages, always activate
Show Large Headingand include Intro and Outro CTAs. - Generally, by mixing images with different aspect ratios, you’ll create a lot of visual interest and contrast automatically. If two images end up too similar in size next to each other, try reordering the items in your gallery field.
- 7 or 9 items is recommended. You must use an odd number of Student Work entries unless you’re omitting the Outro CTA below.
- There are two places to link to the full index of Student Work. We recommend using both:
- Intro CTA: Set text to
View All(character count must be short here) and link to the relevant index page with the relevant pre-filtered results (e.g. the Art filter). - Outro CTA: Set text to
Browse All Student Architecture Workor similar and use the same link as the intro CTA.
