This project is situated in an empty space between part of an ancient wall and industrial parking lot near Porta Portese. By creating a continuous walkway that bounces between two physical walls, different boundary conditions within the site are intertwined with recreational activities on the roof. The continuous band of program weaves back and forth creating a series of intimate pockets for gathering. Ateliers, fab-labs, and cultural programs are elevated to allow for fluid circulation on the ground level between courtyards. A porous screen and strategic distribution of program maximize the connection between interior circulation and outdoor courtyards.
