Office of Diversity and Inclusiveness

Architecture students in studio

The Office of Diversity and Inclusiveness is committed to supporting a diverse AAP student population with both academic and social issues. We provide a host of academic and extracurricular opportunities. We also assist in helping increase the enrollment and retention of students from under-represented groups such as African Americans, Hispanic/Latino/as, Native Americans, among others.

We encourage the development of the next generation of professionals and help them become world class citizens with global perspectives. We provide AAP undergraduate and graduate students with academic, career, and leadership opportunities so they may thoroughly explore their chosen interests in architecture, art, and planning. Additionally, we encourage and advocate on behalf of our students for off-campus programs in Rome; New York City; Washington, DC; and in as many different countries as possible.

The resources available to AAP students through diversity and inclusiveness include individual advising, internship and scholarship opportunities, mentoring programs, and a prefreshman summer program.
