The Cosanti Foundation is a non-profit organization, whose primary mission is the education of Italian architect Paolo Soleri's ideas of Arcology and the construction of Arcosanti. The Arcosanti project is a unique architectural site started in 1970, addressing the problems of suburban sprawl. Set in the high desert of Arizona, Arcosanti is an alternative sustainable community/building experiment. Participants from around the world enroll in a five week workshop to learn about the concepts behind an arcology (architecture + ecology) and receive hands- on-building experience.

Description: The department's primary focus is the design and production of promotional publication, and presentation materials. Interns complete the Arcosanti five week workshop program, then spend eight weeks working on graphic design projects.
