CIPA student Nancy Ferguson '12 spent her spring 2011 semester at the Cornell in Rome program as a research fellow for the World Food Programme (WFP) working on women, children, and gender policy. As part of her internship, Nancy was sent on assignment to the sub-office in Ambovombe, Madagascar where she observed field operations to monitor how gender plays a role in the daily work for WFP staff. Nancy's studies are focused on international development and disaster management.
