Garth Rockcastle

Garth Rockcastle, founding principal of MSR Design, previously held positions as a professor at the University of Maryland and the University of Minnesota. His recent projects focus on adaptive reuse, and include the Regis Art Center in Minneapolis, and the Drexel University's URBN Center, which opened in April and is home to the university's Westphal College of Media Arts. The URBN Center has received a Contract Interiors Award and two AIA awards: the AIA Maryland Excellence in Design Honor Award and the AIA Minnesota Honor Award.

"The people who made the greatest impression on me at Cornell were Colin Rowe and Mathias Ungers, as their ideas on dynamic, critical urbanism have outlasted all other influences," says Rockcastle.
